Prayer Requests

Praise Report:

Gods miraculous timing of everything falling into place. How He assembled a multidisciplinary team of people so quick to start finding the best way to fight this cancer.
The amazing power of His peace and comfort through all of this.
The fact that God has blessed me with a brain that loves to learn and is interested in all the science.
All of the past experiences, classes, interests, conversations, mentors, patients etc. that have in some way helped me be able to process everything that has been going on without feeling overwhelmed or scared.
That my MRI showed only one internal brain tumor that is able to be surgically removed relatively easy.
The fact the even though I have cancer God is still using this whole ordeal to work positively in both my life and in ways that I never believed possible.

Requests:

Obviously, the surgery goes well and will completely remove the brain tumor with no complications.
That I have the one of the specific genetic mutations to the B-RAF gene. If I have it, I qualify for an additional drug regiment which has had very promising response rates. (Never thought I would be praying to have a mutation).
That we are able to figure out what specifically caused this cancer to occur in me. And that if it is something genetic it has not affected my family, specifically my siblings.
Continued wisdom as more decision come with more information on the over all treatment plan.

At this point, this is all still very fresh and not really sure what is to come. Just some general things to be praying for :

Clarity to process everything that is going on and what it means at the moment and for the future.
Wisdom for what the where to go for treatment and navigating all the options regarding treatment.
Finding the right hospital and treatment team.
Thanking God that there are potential treatment options out there.
Finding peace and acceptance of this whole situation. Both for myself and everyone involved.
